OREANDA-NEWS. April 18, 2011. Tatneft participated in the XIVth Moscow International Salon of inventions and innovative technologies "Archimedes - 2011" held at the "Sokolniki" eco-Centre (Moscow) during the period from 5 to 8 of April of the current year. The company has received eight gold medals, three silver and three bronze ones for the projects submitted to the Contest. Following the decision of the international jury TATNEFT was awarded the Cup and Diploma "For high development level of inventive activity in the Republic of Tatarstan", reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.

TATNEFT has been participating in the Salon "Archimedes" since 2001, and every year many of its development received high recognition. The development submitted by the Company were highly appreciated by the organizing committee of the Salon and the numerous visitors of the exhibition

Gold medals were also awarded for the following inventions: "Method of a small diameter well construction" (NGDU Almetyevneft), "Method of developing an oil field" (NGDU Leninogorskneft), "Method of operating a well equipped with a sucker rod pump" (NGDU Yamashneft).

Gold medals were conferred to four developments of TatNIPIneft R&D Institute: "Engineering and construction technology of downhole splitter wells"; "Wellhead device to release the pipe string from the hole"; "Engineering and technology of production casing sealing and isolation of layers with application of expandable metallic plasters" and "Lazurit automated workstation".

A Gold medal was also awarded for the work of TatNIIneftemash "Dual-screw multiphase pump with partial internal compression".

Silver medals were awarded to the Engineering Center of Tatneft for the development of "Effect" integrated automated System to calculate the cost-effectiveness of introducing advanced technologies and equipment for organization of crude oil production (KAS "Effect"), two developments of TatNIPIneft R&D Institute: "Development method of multi-layered oil crude oil deposit at the late stage of development with unstable cap rock and heterogeneous reservoir" and "Program of pumps selection and calculation of water distribution in the reservoir pressure maintenance system".

Bronze medals were awarded for the following patents: "Complex of technologies to optimize costs in the construction of small diameter wells" (NGDU Almetyevneft); "Self-aligning valve of the downhole pump (NGDU Bavlyneft) and "Hydrophobic emulsion for treatment of oil formations" (TatNIPIneft R&D Institute).

Active participation of TATNEFT in organizing and conducting the Salon was distinguished with granting a Diploma of reverence and gratitude.
