OREANDA-NEWS. April 15, 2011. The total amount of loans disbursed by ProCredit Bank to small and medium businesses including agricultural enterprises in the first quarter of 2011 amounted to UAH 362 million. The bank’s loan portfolio has grown by 5.6% since the beginning of the year. Small and medium businesses demonstrate steady growth.

The responsible lending methodology of ProCredit Bank and the focus on the needs of small and medium businesses ensured adequate loan restructuring for clients facing temporary financial trouble. 60% of all clients successfully repaid their loans taken out before the crisis. This is a good evidence of the high quality of our loan portfolio. The majority of businesses are now ready to enter the post crisis growth phase and consider new investments.

"This March our bank has achieved excellent results in disbursing loans to small and medium businesses. This result has of course been driven by increase in demand from our clients and we are also glad to see that rejection rates for loan applications have dropped for the first time since the onset of the crisis in 2008. These are positive signs for the economy of Ukraine indicating that small and medium enterprises hit hard by the crisis are now recovering", - says Susanne Decker, General Manager.
