Moldova Hopes to Increase French Investments
OREANDA-NEWS. April 15, 2011. It was said at the meeting of the Moldovan Government’s delegation headed by Prime Minister Vladimir Filat, and of a group of Moldovan businessmen, living in Parsi, with the leadership of the MEDEF (French Enterprises Movement) Organization.
The reforms program and the Government’s priorities, the European aspirations of Moldova and French investments’ role in the country’s development were discussed. Vladimir Filat said France is a dynamic business partner, and French companies, investing into Moldova, are the examples of success. He emphasized that attraction of foreign investments is the Government’s priority and the authorities will do their best for the business environment in the country to be more predictable, transparent and stable in terms of macroeconomics.
Vladimir Filat said the Economic Council with the Prime Minister would be established soon to facilitate the dialogue between the Government and business circles. The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Valerii Lazar told about the country’s economic situation and development prospects for the near future. He also presented a list of enterprises put up for privatization.
