OREANDA-NEWS. April 15, 2011. The gala opening of the 22nd Convention of the Association of Russian Banks took place in the Column Hall of the Unions Palace. The subject of the 22nd Convention is “Challenge of the Decade: Quality and Accessibility of Banking Services”, reported the press-centre of ITB.

Officials and representatives of the RF President Administration, the RF Government, the RF Federal Assembly, ministries and agencies, the Bank of Russia, commercial banks, scientists and foreign guests took part in work of the Convention. Investtradebank was represented at the forum by the Deputy Chairman of the Management Board E.N. Luzin and the Vice-President A.V. Vetrova.

The President of the Association of Russian Banks G.A. Tosunyan and the Chairman of the Bank of Russia S.M. Ignatyev delivered their speeches at the Convention.

There are a number of topical issues for discussions on the agenda: improvement of quality and accessibility of banking services, new initiatives in the field of consolidation of the banking community and encouragement of competition in the market.

At the end of the Convention a gala reception is planned.
