OREANDA-NEWS. April 14, 2011. Recently, the 2011 Shanghai standardization working conference was held, in which the 2010 standardization work advanced collectives and individuals were commended. Baosteel Co.,Ltd. was awarded the honor of "2010 Shanghai Standardization Work Advanced Collective". Since 2006, Baosteel Co.,Ltd. has been selected for this honor for 5 consecutive years, reported the press-centre of Baosteel.

Over the years, Baosteel Co.,Ltd. has considered the standardization work as an important task in brand building. Last year, Baosteel Co.,Ltd. focused on promotion of the revision and improvement of raw material procurement technical standards, with more than 10 national standards (whose amendments Baosteel Co.,Ltd. presided over) approved and issued.

It launched the steel industry carbon reduction and energy saving standards research, confirmed toxic hazardous substances in the company's production, clarified company's environmental commitment investigation process, made corporate green procurement guidelines, actively deployed products certification for market access and build cold-rolled products' packaging, storage and unpacking standard operation guide.
