Tata Power Commissions Two New Transmission Lines of Tata Steel
OREANDA-NEWS. April 13, 2011.
The transmission lines 7 and 8 consist of three different sections i.e., 0.9km of underground cable from the plant's 132Kv switch yard to gantry near the material gate, 3.1km is overhead line from the gantry end to Jamshedpur Engineering and Machine Manufacturer Company (Jemco) and finally the 3.5km underground cable from Jemco to Geographic Information System substation.
Speaking on the occasion, PL Manjrekar, general manager, Tata Power, Jojobera, said, “The cutting-edge technology deployed in the commissioning of these two lines will ensure rapid management of disturbance and faults in the network thereby enabling continuous up-time for our customers. We believe that this new technology will create newer benchmarks in the industry in future.”
