OREANDA-NEWS. April 13, 2011. Moldova ranks the 1st among the CIS countries in the volumes of freight traffic in January-February 2011 in comparison with the same period last year. According to the CIS Statistics Committee’s data, the volume of freight traffic in Moldova in the first two months of 2010 increased by 62.7% in comparison with the same period of 2010.

The volumes of freight traffic increased in all CIS countries in January-February 2011: in Tajikistan – by 28.2%, in Belarus – by 23.4%, Ukraine – 20%, Kazakhstan – 18.5%, Kyrgyzstan – 8.8%, Russia – 6.4%, Azerbaijan – 5.5%, Armenia – 4.4%.

The volume of cargo transportation as a whole in the CIS in January-February 2011 increased by 12.9% in comparison with the same period last year.
