Tallinn-St Petersburg Ferry Line Opened
OREANDA-NEWS. April 13, 2011. The regular ferry line connecting St. Petersburg in Russia with Stockholm and Tallinn was opened festively.
Initially, the ferry M/S Princess Anastasia will stop in Tallinn one a week on Sundays.
Igor Gluhhov, CEO of St Peterline that operates the line said that the interest of Russians towards visiting Tallinn was considerable.
„If the line becomes successful, the frequencies could definitely be increased,“ said Gluhhov.
Since citizens of Estonia travelling on the line can stay 72 hours in St Petersburg without a visa, the service is expected to become popular also among Estonians.
The vessel arrives in Tallinn at noon and leaves at 6 pm. Price of one-way ticket starts from EUR 25.
