OREANDA-NEWS. April 13, 2011. The number of cash-dispensers in the Republic of Azerbaijan as of 1 March 2011 was 1912 pcs. It exceeds the indicator of the previous year by 198 pcs. As of 1 March of the current year 1065 cash-dispensers are located in Baku, 847 in other cities and regions, reported the press-centre of CBA.

During the period the number of POS-terminals in the Republic of Azerbaijan was 7983. Currently, 7175 POS-terminals are located in Baku city, 808 are in other regions.

Payment cards in circulation in the Republic of Azerbaijan as of 1 March 2011 totaled to 4284 thousand pieces. As compared with the same period of last year this index increased by 5,8%. The quantity of bank operations made through payment cards and pos-terminals was 4057 thousand. Of which 95 percent was through debit cards.
