OREANDA-NEWS. April 13, 2011. The contest “The best banks in the GUAM - 2010” has been summed up and awards have been presented at the GUAM Secretariat in Ukraine’s capital, reported the press-centre of AIB.

A source at the Azerbaijani International Bank (AIB) told APA-ECONOMICS that the contest had been jointly organized by the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development – GUAM, “KBS-Izdat” international publishing house, “Credit Rating” and “Bankir” magazines.

The contest was held on the nominations of the best bank in the sphere of service for population, the best bank for corporate business, the best bank in the sphere of development of new bank services, the best bank in the sphere of employment of new technologies, the best correspondent bank etc.

As a result, the AIB won the contest in the nomination of “The best technological bank” of the first international contest “CIS, Baltic and Georgian banks - 2010”. The head of the bank’s managerial staff, Cahangir Haciyev was awarded “A banker of the year ” prize in the contest “The best banks in the GUAM - 2010”. This is the 44th award presented to the AIB by international organizations from 2002.

Let us recall that at the same time the meetings of the Coordinating Council of National Banks and Bank Associations of the GUAM members and the GUAM’s Business Council were hld at the GUAM Secretariat.
