OREANDA-NEWS. April 12, 2011. The thermal load test was successfully undertaken for the VD Finery (210 tons) of Xinyu Iron & Steel Group Co., Ltd. This device was designed by CISDI Engineering Co., Ltd. (CISDI), which was one of the key works for the Extra-thick Slab Conticaster Project of Xinyu Steel, reported the press-centre of MCC.

As the largest VD equipment independently designed and manufactured by Chinese contractor, this device has filled the gap in the field of VD vacuum treatment installation of over 200 tons in China.

The VD equipment and its core technologies, which are rated at the most advanced domestic level, will ensure the stable production of high value-added steel products.  
After being put into commissioning, this device, together with the 2#LF furnace (210 tons) and the 420mm extra-thick slab conticaster which have been already put into operation, forma complete production line consisting of converter, LF finery, VD vacuum finery and the continuous casting machine.

And it is believed that this new line will be of great significance for enhancement of marketing competitiveness and implementation of Top-quality Strategy by Xinyu Iron & Steel Group.
