OREANDA-NEWS. April 12, 2011. IBC participated in the meeting of the Committee on Economic Strategy, Investment Policy and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Parliament. The deputies discussed the draft Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Amendments and Supplements to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On privatization of state property in the Kyrgyz Republic." MP Omurbek Tekebayev is the initiator of the bill, reported the press-centre of IBC.

Minister of State Property of the Kyrgyz Republic Nurdin Ilebaev opposed the initiative, arguing that the bill impedes the process of privatization. During the discussions, the deputy Ravshan Jeenbekov did not agree with the government's position on the state property privatization. The MP believes that Parliament should approve the list of state property to be privatized, and deputies will push the bill.

According to the draft Law "On amendments and additions to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On privatization of state property in the Kyrgyz Republic", the first part of Article 4 proposes in the following wording: "The program of privatization of state property should be developed by the state authority on privatization and state property management, and should be endorses by the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and approved by the Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic".
