Sergei Popkov Appointed New Director General of Beltelecom
OREANDA-NEWS. April 12, 2011. Sergei Petrovich Popkov who held the position of the Director of Minsk City Telephone Exchange Branch of Beltelecom is appointed the new Director General of Beltelecom. Konstantin Sergeevich Tikar who was in head of the company for the last 5 years leaves his post of the head of the enterprise upon mutual agreement of the parties. On April 5, 2011 the Minister of Communication and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus Pantelei Nikolai Petrovich introduced the new Director General of the enterprise, reported the press-centre of Beltelecom.
Sergei Popkov was born on October 10, 1957. In 1983 he graduated from Minsk Radio Technical Institute, in 1999 – from Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus. The new senior executive started his career growth in 1983 as a Senior Engineer, and then he worked as the Head of communication unit of Zavodskoy District Communication Department of Minsk City Telephone Exchange (MCTE). Sergei Popkov worked as the Deputy Head of Frunzensky District Communication Department of MCTE, Deputy Director for networks operation of MCTE, Chief Engineer of MCTE, since August 26, 2008 – Director of Minsk City Telephone Exchange Branch of Beltelecom. Sergei Popkov is awarded with a Medal “For Labour Merit”.
Konstantin Tikar was born on August 9, 1957. In 1981 he graduated from Minsk Radio Technical Institute. Konstantin Tikar started the career of a bright manager as an engineer of the State Enterprise Long–Distance Communication going through all the stages of professional and management development in the company. At different times K. Tikar worked as a Senior Engineer, Director of Republican Unitary Enterprise Long–Distance Communication and Head of technical department of Beltelecom. On January 30, 2006 Konstantin Tikar was appointed the Director General of RUE Beltelecom. K. Tikar is awarded with a Certificate of Merit of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus and the title of “Master Svyazy” (“Master of Telecommunications”). On April 5, 2011 Konstantin Tikar resigned from the company.
