Chairman of Supervisory Board of Bank Forum Passed Away
OREANDA-NEWS. April 12, 2011. Mr. Wilhelm Nuese, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Bank Forum, passed away, reported the press-centre of Bank Forum.
Mr. Nuese was an experienced banker and an open-minded, responsive person. He worked for various divisions of Commerzbank Group for over 25 years, and had a unique understanding of the markets of Eastern Europe. During this time, Mr. Nuese headed the group's units in Russia, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In 2008, under his leadership, the Commerzbank acquisition of a controlling stake in Bank Forum was implemented.
"We are shocked by this sudden loss and join all those who knew Mr. Nuese in deep sorrow", said Achim Kassow, responsible for the Central & Eastern Europe segment within Commerzbank's Board of Managing Directors.
Sascha Klaus, Member of the Supervisory Board of Bank Forum and responsible in the Central & Eastern Europe Holding of Commerzbank for Risk Management, will take over the Chairmanship of the Supervisory Board of Bank Forum. The succession is to be confirmed on the next General Shareholders Meeting of Bank Forum.
Sascha Klaus, 40, started his career 1990 at Deutsche Bank, transferred in 2000 to the Risk Management Division of Dresdner Kleinwort New York and 2008 into the Head Office of Dresdner Bank. In 2010 he was appointed Member of the Board of Commerzbank Central & Eastern Europe Holding, responsible for Risk Management.
