OREANDA-NEWS. April 11, 2011. On March 31st Azerbaijan - India business meeting held in Baku supported by Ministry of Economic Development, organized by Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) as well as Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).

About 50 officials and entrepreneurs operating in agriculture and food industry, health and pharmaceuticals, construction, chemical industry, textiles, engineering and other sectors came together to discuss the possibilities of mutual cooperation during the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting Head of Administration of Ministry of Economic Development Samir Valiyev mentioned the achievements of Azerbaijan's economy as well as existing relations between the two countries. Further, AZPROMO head Adil Mammadov presented facts on economy, as well as business climate and investment opportunities in Azerbaijan. Ambassador of India to Azerbaijan Debnat Shau and Deputy General Secretary of FICCI mentioned the importance of the organization of business events and thanked the organizers, emphasizing the possible directions for future joint activities.

The official part was followed by bilateral meetings between the entrepreneurs.
