OREANDA-NEWS. April 11, 2011. The office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service for the Moscow region (Moscow Regional OFAS Russia) initiated two cases against “Lukoil-Tsentrnefteproduct” Ltd. for violating the antimonopoly law. Based on daily price monitoring, the Commission of Moscow Regional OFAS Russia discovered growing prices for motor petrol and diesel fuel in the Moscow region, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

Moscow Regional OFAS Russia suspects that “Lukoil-Tsentrnefteproduct” Ltd. violated Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition” by abusing market dominance on wholesale market for motor petrol (grade AI-92 and АI-95 in the Moscow region. The oil companies fixed and maintained monopolistically high wholesale prices.
