OREANDA-NEWS. April 7, 2011. Ukrainian Airlines almost tripled the frequency of air carriages between Kiev and Sofia in comparison with the beginning of last year’s summer season. The new schedule, introduced for the period from March 27th till October 29th, 2011, provides 8 flights to Sofia per week (3 flights a year ago).

The schedule of flights between the two countries’ capitals has also been optimized. That allowed to integrate one part of flights to/from Sofia into the day-time and another part – into evening waves of connections, created by AeroSvit at its base Borispol Airport (Kiev). As a result, the number of Sofia flight’s connections with other AeroSvit’s international and domestic destinations increased, an opportunity to use AeroSvit’s entire route network more efficiently appeared.

Now, via Kiev AeroSvit connects Sofia with Ukrainian cities: Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Ivano-Frankovsk, Lvov, Odessa, Sevastopol, Simferopol and Kharkov as well as with destinations in Russia, North America, Eastern, Central and South-East Asia, Transcaucasia and Baltic region.

Besides that, jointly with Bulgaria Air, the partner for Kiev-Sofia line operation, AeroSvit provides passenger carriages via ’s capital to some cities of this country, in particular to popular resorts - Varna and Burgas.
