China Gas Prices May Rise in Wake of Japan Quake
OREANDA-NEWS. April 07, 2011. As Japan's post-earthquake reconstruction will stimulate the demand for international crude oil, the international crude oil price will increase further and traders will increase purchases of gasoline, which may push China's gasoline price to rise slightly, the Department of Market Operation and Regulation under the Ministry of Commerce predicted.
According to data from the Ministry of Commerce, the international crude oil price remains high and purchases of China's domestic petroleum products also increased.
The gasoline price increased slightly last week, up by 0.5 percent compared with a week earlier.
