OREANDA-NEWS. April 07, 2011. The Government has regulated at the level of legislation and legal mechanism implementing the right to housing for medical staff. This was announced by Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Viktor Tykhonov. He said that the Government today made changes to State target socio-economic program for the construction (purchase) of affordable housing in the years 2010-2017, under which the action program extends to medical staff.

"Among the objectives of the Programme adopted in November 2009, was assumed the affordable housing some categories of people - young families and single young people, soldiers, and militiaman, judges, persons with disabilities, researchers and staff of the NAS, the teaching staff. Category of medical staff was not taken. The Government had amended the program,"- Deputy Prime Minister said.

Meanwhile, the official has informed, that amend the Decree of the Cabinet Ministers "Some of the improvement of health”, which planned to develop a program providing housing for medical staff, including service housing. "Because health workers are now under affordable housing program, then develop a separate program is not necessary", - Victor Tykhonov said.

Recall that in early 2011 commissioned almost 90 thousand square meters of affordable housing, 1084 families received flats.
