Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg Supports Veterans
OREANDA-NEWS. April 6, 2011. According to preliminary data, the group of companies “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” transferred about 1.4 mln. Rubles for support of retired veteran workers of the port, active members of the Veteran Council and persons celebrating a jubilee, in the first quarter of 2011, which is by 17% more than in 2010.
At present, the group of companies supports 860 retired workers registered in the Interregional Social Association “Veterans of the Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg”.
Apart from quarter premiums, former port workers traditionally receive bonuses for holidays; special support is provided to victims of the siege of Leningrad and war participants.

At present, more than 2,700 people work for the group of companies “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg”. The companies of the group have target funds for social support of their employees. 1% of the salary fund is transferred to these funds every month.
The Company supports the Council of Port Veterans which was founded over 27 years ago. Veterans receive material assistance quarterly. About 5.8 mln. Rubles were transferred for these purposes in 2010.
