OREANDA-NEWS. April 06, 2011. TATNEFT has implemented complex technological and organizational measures to provide for stable and uninterrupted operation of oilfield facilities and to ensure the environmental safety of oil production, reported the press-centre of Tatneft.

Improvement of the reliability of oilfield equipment at the facilities of the Company has been achieved through application of corrosion-resistant pipes, as well as application of inhibitors and electrochemical corrosion protection.

For the purpose of ensuring stable and trouble-free operation of oil facilities and increasing their industrial and environmental safety the Company produced 773 km of corrosion-resistant pipes (314 km of metal/plastic and 459 km of polymer-coated pipes) and 7,019.6 tons of corrosion inhibitors in 2010. Electrochemical protection was implemented for 917 well casings, 810 km of oil pipelines and water lines, and 2959 km of oilfield pipelines were subjected to diagnostic study.
