Recently, good news is received from the southwestern branch of SINOPEC that the 127mm diameter nickel-based alloy tube casing by supplied Baosteel was applied in operation successfully in 103H oil well of Yuanba. Therefore, Baosteel has become the first domestic supplier for Nickel-based alloy oil pipe and tube casing, reported the press-centre of Baosteel

SINOPEC Yuanba 103H oil well is the first development evaluation well in Yuanba area of the northeastern Sichuan Province as well as the deepest big displacement horizontal well in Asia so far. This well contains high concentration of HzS and Co2 and the site condition is extremely graving. Based on competitive product quality and delivery performance, Baosteel has broken up the monopoly of this kind of product by foreign suppliers and turned out to be the first domestic supplier of Nickel-based alloy tube casing.

This successful application not only created first of its kind but helped with the accumulation of precious experience in its application in similar ultra-deep big displacement horizontal wells.
