OREANDA-NEWS. April 05, 2011. Renowned international magazine Global Finance recently named the best banks on developing markets in Central and Eastern Europe. Swedbank won the title in both Estonia and Latvia, reported the press-centre of Swedbank.

Banks in 22 different countries were vying for the title, with the winners decided by the Global Finance jury on the basis of such criteria as customer service, growth of assets, profitability, development of new products and innovation.

Swedbank has been recognised by the magazine in previous years – most recently in summer 2010, when Global Finance named Swedbank’s Internet bank the best of its kind for private clients in the Baltic States.

Global Finance has been published since 1987 and has approximately 300,000 readers in almost 160 countries.
