Gazprom Approves 2011–2015 Comprehensive Program for Reconstruction
OREANDA-NEWS. April 04, 2011. The Gazprom Management Committee approved the 2011–2015 Comprehensive Program for Reconstruction and Re-equipment of Gas and Liquid Hydrocarbons Processing Facilities.
Specialized structural units were tasked to use the document as the basis for compilation of Gazprom's annual and mid-term investment programs as well as to analyze the results of its implementation on the annual basis.
Background
The Astrakhan, Orenburg and Sosnogorsk Gas Processing Plants, the Orenburg Helium Plant, the Urengoy Condensate Treatment Plant and the Surgut Condensate Stabilization Plant are Gazprom's major processing facilities.
The plants process and convey natural gas, condensate and oil, produce motor fuels (vehicle fuels, diesel fuel, jet fuel, liquefied petroleum gases) and other deliverables.
The primary equipment of processing plants is quite aged and requires comprehensive reconstruction. Moreover, capacities should be prepared to process a more complex feedstock produced by Gazprom from deep oil and gas condensate deposits in Western Siberia.
The 2011–2015 Comprehensive Program for Reconstruction and Re-equipment of Gas and Liquid Hydrocarbons Processing Facilities was developed pursuant to the Gazprom Management Committee Resolution of December 17, 2010. The Program has been endorsed for the first time ever.
The Program will enable to perform the required reconstruction and upgrade of the existing plants, to maintain the volumes processed at some plants and to increase those processed at other plants. Moreover, it will be possible to expand the product range and enhance the quality as well as to bring the products into compliance with international standards.
