OREANDA-NEWS. April 04, 2011. Management Board Member, Vnesheconombank Deputy Chairman Mikhail Kopeikin held a working meeting in the Federal Republic of Germany with KfW Banking Group Managing Board Chairman Ulrich Schroder. Russia’s ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany Vladimir Grinin participated in the talks.

The two sides gave high priority to the status of cooperation between the two financial institutions in supporting Russian small and medium-sized enterprises as well as to implementing joint financing programs.

In his turn, U.Schroder reaffirmed KfW’s practical interest in and readiness for financial participation in the joint project aimed at establishing a fund to support small and medium-sized enterprises in Russia.

The two sides also discussed preparations for a joint program of supporting SMEs in the Russian agro-industrial sector.

The two sides also agreed that Vnesheconombank’s and KfW’s representatives would address the 29th session of Russian-German Strategic Working Group on Cooperation in Economy and Finances on April 5-7, 2011 in the city of Potsdam.
