OREANDA-NEWS. April 4, 2011. To provide for timely response to contingency situation that may occur during the spring tide period a counter-flood commission has been established at Krasnoyarsk CHP-4. The commission have elaborated a plan of measures to be taken in case of Rise 1 potable domestic water pump plant flooding as well as a plan of interaction with Sosnovoborsk city administration in connection with provision for uninterrupted supplies of potable household water to consumers.

There were non-professional emergency rescue groups formed of workshop personnel, their members having received instruction and training in taking actions in an emergency situation. The required machinery has been prepared such as: pumps, generators, electric motors for timely response to contingency situations likely to happen in connection with floods. One has secured reserves of instrumentation, equipment and other materials.

The commission members have inspected the water intake works and the pier for the facilities preparedness for the flood period. The commission found the mechanical equipment and hoisting mechanism in an operable state. The required fuel reserve has been secured. Additionally, the commission found out that the hydraulic engineering structures, transmission lines and substations as well as access routes located within the high water risk zone are prepared to withstand flood-related contingency situations.

With Krasnoyarsk CHP-4 all the actions planned are taken in due time and one can conclude that the habitual spring season situation is totally under control.
