OREANDA-NEWS. April 4, 2011. On April 1, 2011 within the framework of the project between the Moscow Energy Exchange and RTS Group on trading in the power futures contract, the futures contracts on the average power price index in the ‘Center’ (ECBM-3.11 and ECPM-3.11), ‘Ural’ (EUBM-3.11 and EUPM-3.11), ‘Western Siberia’ (SWBM-3.11) and ‘Eastern Siberia’ (SEBM-3.11) hubs were settled.

The settlement prices amounted to:

ECBM-3.11 – 995.55

ECPM-3.11 – 1,097.96

EUBM-3.11 – 907.79

EUPM-3.11 – 974.50

SEBM-3.11 – 507.24

SWBM-3.11 – 564.86

As in the contract’s specifications, the settlement price is calculated on the basis of the arithmetic average of all values of the Index that is an underlying asset of the contract for the period from March 1, 2011 to March 31, 2011 published by the Moscow Energy Exchange.

The volume of settled contracts stood at:

ECBM-3.11 – 138 contracts  for RUB10.202 million.

ECPM-3.11 – 782 contracts for RUB24.557 million.

EUBM-3.11 – 20 contracts for RUB1.349 million.

EUPM-3.11 – 888 contracts for RUB24.762 million.

During the March contracts` trading period 2,704 trades representing 15,202 contracts were executed. 1,828 contracts were settled for a total of RUB60,870,291.
