OREANDA-NEWS. April 1, 2011. Transaero Airlines operational results for the first two months of 2011 demonstrate the carrier’s stable development.

In January-February 2011:

Transaero Airlines passenger turnover constituted 4.459 billion PKM, 20.1% more than during first two months of 2010

The airline carried 858,804 passengers during the period, 10.8% more than during the same period in 2010

Transaero Airlines delivered 5,237.36 tons of cargo in the reporting period, 37.9% more than during same period in 2010

Cargo traffic totaled 431.239 million RTK (21.2% increase in comparison with the same period last year).

In the first two months of 2011 Transaero went on with the implementation of new services based on state-of-the-art technologies. Transaero launched new web-sites in German and English for the convenience of passengers traveling from the US and Germany. Transaero passengers flying from Domodedovo International Airport in Moscow can now use their mobile phones to check-in and receive their boarding passes via SMS. Participants of Transaero Privilege frequent flyer program can now get up-to-date information on their account via their mobile devices. At present Transaero Airlines also offers even easier access to its information center with its own short code number (0808) for passengers calling with their mobile phones.
