OREANDA-NEWS. April 1, 2011. OJSC VolgaTelecom advises that the Company filed the application of making entry of VolgaTelecom’s discontinuation of activities in the Uniform State Register of Legal Entities (USRLE) due to merger with OJSC Rostelecom.

In accordance with the requirements of Federal Financial Markets Service of the Russian Federation such information was published in the news lines in the form of information which may materially affect the cost of the Company’s securities.

In accordance with the rules of stock exchanges the trading of VolgaTelecom’s securities should be suspended since March 28, 2011 up to the date of reorganization.

Completion date of merger and conversion of shares will be the date of making entry into the USRLE of discontinuation of activities of OJSC VolgaTelecom, which is presumably expected to happen on April 01, 2011.
