OREANDA-NEWS. April 01, 2011. The governments of Uzbekistan and Jordan signed the Agreement on mutual assistance in the field of customs. The signing took place at the State Customs Committee in Tashkent.

The document envisages exact calculation of customs duties, taxes and other payments between the two countries, as well as ensuring that customs tariffs during export and import of goods are defined correctly.

The sides also agreed to cooperate in preventing violations and developing cooperation in the customs sphere.

Jordan is one of the states actively developing cooperation with Uzbekistan. The two countries are constantly expanding mutual trade and economic cooperation.

“Jordan is interested in developing relations with Uzbekistan,” ambassador of Jordan in Uzbekistan Muvaffaq Mohamed Ahmad Ajlouni said.

He expressed confidence that the signed document would serve to further expansion of mutual cooperation between the two states.
