OREANDA-NEWS. April 01, 2011. It was said by Vasile Bumacov, Moldovan Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry, following his visit to China the meeting with his Chinese counterpart. He said he hopes for the expansion of the supplies thanks to the opening in China of the Moldovan wine promotion center and presentation of Moldovan wines at China’s largest exhibitions.

Vasile Bumacov said China’s market is of a great interest for Moldovan wineries, given its size and annual wine consumption growth. According to the official data, Moldovan wines export to China in 2010 grew 8 times. Vasile Bumacov said he had led Moldovan wine tasting in the Chamber of Trade and Industry of China, where about 40 owners and managers of stores and of a number of sale foodstuffs sale networks tried Moldovan wines and familiarized with the opportunities of investing in wine-growing and wine-making of Moldova.

According to the Minister of Agriculture, he had meetings with representatives of the largest wine importers of China – KSK and Sun Valley companies, which, along with other businessmen, agreed to consider increase in Moldovan wines import to the Chinese market.
