OREANDA-NEWS. March 31, 2011. In 2012, will reduce redemption of debt created by the previous government, while in 2011 must pay the largest amount of debt for all time of independence - 89 billion UAH.

The Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said during the first extended session of the Government held by Heads of departments, agencies, government services.

“Payments for debt created by predecessors in the 2011 are peak, almost 10 times larger than any time since independence. 2011 – peak of debt payments - 89 bln UAH. Only in 2012 will decline to pay off debts” - Mykola Azarov said

According to him, payment of debts creates fierce pressure on public finances, diverts resources away from increasing salaries, pensions and so on.
