OREANDA-NEWS. March 31, 2011. Uniastrum has appointed Vasily Kuznetsov Vice President for Retail Business Development. He will be responsible primarily for formulating and implementing the Bank’s retail development strategy, optimizing the product line, and improving sales performance in Moscow and the regions, reported the press-centre of Uniastrum.

Mr. Kuznetsov graduated the Russian Government Academy of Finance with a degree in Finance and Credit, specializing in banking. His career in the banking sector dates back to 2000, since when he has worked in areas such as consumer credit expansion, card operations, and electronic sales channels – roles that included the creation of new products and services, as well as the organization of an effective regional network.

After a year spent at Impexbank, Vasily Kuznetsov worked from 2001 to 2003 at Russian Standard Bank, where he served as project leader and head of regional development, followed by a three year stint in charge of retail network expansion. In 2006 he moved to Investsberbank as Vice President and Director responsible for retail credit infrastructure development. From January 2009 to March 2010, Mr. Kuznetsov supervised card operations and electronic sales channels at OTP Bank.
