OREANDA-NEWS. March 31, 2011. An agreement for cooperation between TNK-BP and the Saratov Region Government in 2011 was signed in Saratov by Pavel Ipatov, Governor of the Saratov Region, and Vladimir Meshkov, Director, OJSC TNK-BP Management Branch “TNK-BP Povolzhye” in the city of Saratov, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

The agreement regulates activities and commitments of the parties for stable and sustainable social and economic development of the Saratov Region and lays down the social partnership principles followed by TNK-BP in the regions of its activity. The agreement implies cooperation of the parties for development of the industrial complex, environmental protection, and implementation of social programs.

The cooperation agreement for 2011 implies a considerable growth of company’s investments into the Saratov Region. Approximately 7.5 billion rubles will be invested into development of OJSC Saratov Oil Refinery, which is 3 times as much as in 2010 (2.3 billion rubles). Most investments will be used for construction of an isomerization unit, transition to production of Euro-4 and Euro-5 fuels, and implementation of other projects.

TNK-BP will continue its support of agricultural producers in the region and, in accordance with the cooperation agreement, will supply 125,000 tons of diesel fuel to them at privileged prices.

Support of children’s sport and educational and cultural institutions will remain to be high priorities in TNK-BP’s social activities in the Saratov Region in 2011.

OJSC Orenburgneft has purchased a license for development of the Kulikovsky and Kameliksky areas in the Perelyubsky District, which is yet another indication of TNK-BP’s long-term plans in the Saratov Region. Exploration works are now underway in these areas (over 600 million rubles were spent in 2010 for exploration and development of these areas).
