OREANDA-NEWS. March 30, 2011. Ingosstrakh has paid 2 mln. rubles to the agricultural enterprise located in Burlinsky district of Altai Territory, in connection with the destruction of harvest.

The harvest of summer wheat and summer barley on the area of 4 746 ha was insured against destruction or partial loss for the total sum of 7.9 mln. rubles.

The insurance event was the unfavorable weather conditions of the summer, 2010.  In the European part of Russia, serious damage to agricultural economies was done by unusual heat, drought and fires, but in Siberia partial destruction of harvest was caused by late and very hot start of the summer and its cold middle.

To establish the amount of damage, it was necessary to hold an expert examination, which showed that it was an insurance event, and Ingosstrakh has made a payment of insurance indemnity in full to the agricultural enterprise.
