Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (CSN) (BM&FBOVESPA: CSNA3) (NYSE: SID) announces its results for the fourth quarter of 2010 (4Q10) and full year 2010, in accordance with Brazilian accounting principles and international financial reporting standards (IFRS), and denominated in Brazilian Reais (BRL ). All comments presented herein refer to the Company’s consolidated results and comparisons refer to the third quarter of 2010 (3Q10) and full year 2009, respectively, unless otherwise stated. The Real/U.S. Dollar exchange rate on December 31, 2010 was BRL 1.666.
Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (CSN) (BM&F Bovespa: CSNA3 / NYSE: SID) is the second major steel-maker company in Brazil. Its main plant is located in the city of Volta Redonda, in the state of Rio de Janeiro. Companhia Siderurgica Nacional is the largest fully-integrated steel producer in Brazil and one of the largest in South America in terms of crude steel production.
