OREANDA-NEWS. March 30, 2011. It was said at the press conference by the head of the Chief State Tax Inspection (CSTI) Nicolai Platon, noting that 60 of them had been in the millionaire list last year.

In 2010, 142 people in Moldova reported incomes for the year of 2009 in the amount of over 1 million leis. 51 of them remained in the millionaire list for the previous year, 132 people left the list and 91 – appeared in the list.

The CSTI head said 51,980 income tax statements from natural persons, including 349 electronic statements and 3.1 thousand quick statements had been received by the tax institutions by March 28 this year. 19,939 statements, including 31 – electronic statements and 1.1 thousand – quick statements were received from legal entities.

The single tax accounts was submitted by 9.5 thousand individual enterprises and farms, including 10 electronic and 560 quick statements. Last year, tax services received 147,954 income statements from natural persons, 72,049 statements from legal entities. The single tax accounts was submitted by 27,686 legal entities.

Most statements were presented by residents of Chisinau, Balti, Cahul, Comrat and Hincesti. 34.6 million leis were additionally received by the budget from natural persons. About 22 million leis were supposed to be returned from the budget to legal entities and natural persons. 17 million leis of them were returned. The CSTI head urged citizens to submit income statements quicker, as the deadline is March 31. He said the tax inspections would be working two hours long – to 7 p.m. – next four days. The infringers will be liable to fines.
