Softline to Launch ActiveCloud Project in Azerbaijan
OREANDA-NEWS. March 29, 2011. In the next two weeks Softline company intends to launch ActiveCloud in Azerbaijan.
Russian mass media referring to Chairman of Softline’s Board of Directors Igor Borovikov report that in three years the company is planning to invest USD 10 million in Active Cloud project( hosting-provider of " cloud" services). In Borovikov’s words ActiveCloud project is oriented on rendering of " cloud" services at the territory of Russia and CIS.
At present the company’s representative offices are opened in Belarus and Russia, in 2 weeks it is planned to launch the project in Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan and in 3 weeks increase the number of countries to 8 through launching projects in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan where already one local hosting-provider has been purchased.
Borovikov noted that ActiveCloud project will help Softline to increase share of both " cloud" services and services in the company’s turnover on the whole.
" We are planning to increase the share of services in turnover structure up to 20% in 2013 and of " cloud" services up to 10%, now Cloud’s share in the company’s turnover does not exceed 0,5%",- he said.
Borovikov noted that Softline intends to occupy not less than 20% of " hosting" and cloud services market in Russia and not less than 50% of this market in CIS.
" Taking into account that volume of the market in Russia at present makes about USD 120-150 million the annual rise may reach 25-30% in the next 3 years. CIS market makes about 12-17% of Russian hosting market and dynamics of market development will be very intensive for a long time ",- he added.
Cloud computing –is the technology of distributed data processing in which computer resources and capacity are presented to the user as Internet- services.
