OREANDA-NEWS. March 29, 2011. Moldova’s Ministry of Economy recommends companies to submit applications for obtaining quotas for duty-free supplies of production to the EU in advance. It is extremely important for the fair distribution of the quotas provided by the EU and for avoiding the situations when a permission is issued for the volume of goods which have already been converted into the customs export order, according to the Ministry of Economy.

The Ministry also reminds that the European Parliament decided last week to prolong the autonomous trade preferences for Moldova till 2015. To support Moldovan wine-makers, the European Commission’s initiative on increasing tariff quotas for wine supplies to 1.5 million deciliters in 2011, up 80% from last year, was also adopted.

The quota for wine export will amount to 1.8 million deciliters in 2012, and by 2015 it will reach 2.4 million deciliters.
