OREANDA-NEWS. March 29, 2011. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) initiated a case against “Izotop” All-Regional Association” OJSC upon the signs of violating Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition” in the part of fixing and maintaining monopolistically high prices and imposing other disadvantageous contract conditions, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The case was initiated upon petitions from “Atom” Ltd., “Kvant” CJSC and “Murmanskaya Geologorazvedochnaya Ekspeditsia” CJSC that as a result of restructuring sale policy by the companies of the “Rosatom” Public Corporation, the cost of isotope products, that the petitioners buy, as well as the delivery costs increased.

According to FAS Russia, actions of “Izotop” OJSC lead to increasing mark-ups for isotope products and creating disadvantageous delivery conditions.

The case is scheduled for 13th April 2011.

Isotope products are widely used in various sectors of industry and agriculture, in the technology automation systems, for the purposes of non-destructive screening of weld seams, radiological and dosimetry control.
