Money Transfers between Russia and Azerbaijan Made USD 856 mn
OREANDA-NEWS. March 28, 2011. Over 42% of " Zolotaya Korona " system’s money transfers fell on the share of Azerbaijan.
Under " Zolotaya Korona-money transfer " system’s report in the IV quarter of 2010 share of " Zolotaya Korona-money transfer " system on money remittances of individuals from Russia to Azerbaijan made 42,47%. Share of transfers through this system in opposite direction during the same period made 51,12%.
During the last year the system increased its market share in Russia- Azerbaijan corridor and backward 2.4 fold.
The Central Bank of Russia informs that in 2010 total turnover of funds carried out through money transfer system in Russia- Azerbaijan direction and backward exceeded USD 856 million. More than USD 280 million of this was transferred through " Zolotaya Korona-money transfer " system.
Last year a few large banks , in particular Rabitabank, Bank of Azerbaijan, Nikoil Bank, Turanbank, United Credit Bank became " Zolotaya Korona-money transfer " system’s partners in Azerbaijan. Thanks to active development of partnership programs the system’s network in the country increased by 21% during a year.
" Zolotaya Korona-money transfer" is a system of urgent money transfers without account opening having more than 24000 points on the territory of Russian and CIS countries. The system’s present participants are more than 300 banks in Russia and CIS.
