OREANDA-NEWS. March 28, 2011. A meeting of expert-analytical group for issues on the functioning of the oil and petrochemicals and refining industry under the chairmanship of Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Yuriy Boyko had place in the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry.

The main issue discussed at the meeting was the situation in the oil and oil products market, which has an important role in socio-economic life, including holding the corridor of recommended prices on motor fuels by companies.

According to the data presented during the session, oil prices rising from March 11 to March 23, 2011, had the next character. The retail price of gasoline A-95 in Ukraine increased by 1.05% (in Europe decreased by 2.29%), diesel fuel - by 1.68% (in Europe - by 0.72%).

Analytical Research Group recommended the companies- market participants to adhere to the set at the previous meeting of the group price corridor, the upper limit is not more than 9.5 UAH / l for gasoline A-95, and 9.0 UAH / l - for diesel fuel.

Following the discussion of the situation on the fuel market, the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Yuriy Boyko ordered Naftogaz of Ukraine to purchase 100 thousand tons of light oil and 100 thousand tons of oil for further processing.

The meeting participants also discussed the revised draft MOU between the Government of Ukraine and the domestic manufacturers to increase oil refining in 2011 and subsequent years.

Let us recall, that speaking today at the Cabinet session, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov noted that the Government monitors constantly the situation of the prices of fuel, and takes necessary measures for traders to comply with the recommended price corridor.
