OREANDA-NEWS. March 25, 2011. On the 4th of April, the list of Interactive GALA digital TV channels will be supplemented with one of the most famous in the world movie and series channel, Sony Entertainment Television. Customers of TEO LT, AB, the largest provider of integrated telecommunication, IT and TV services in Lithuania, will have the opportunity to watch the movies and TV series produced by the most famous Hollywood studios in any language they prefer.

Sony Entertainment Television broadcasts the series, which have become extremely popular all over the world. The channel will bring new series to Lithuania for the first time, including The Defenders, The Tudors and Damages, alongside global hits such as  Friends, Sex and the City and ER. The reality TV shows Make Me a Supermodel and America's Next Top Model are no less successful.

According to Nerijus Ivanauskas, Chief Marketing Officer of TEO, the new channel will please both movie gourmands and families that have grown fond of popular TV series. "Viewers of the new channel will be able to select their desired audio language – English or Russian. Those who wish will be also have the opportunity to watch the channel with Lithuanian subtitles”, - N. Ivanauskas said.

Sony Pictures television channels, showing productions from Hollywood’s most famous studios, such as Warner Brothers, Sony Pictures, CBS Paramount and Walt Disney, are available in 140 countries and is watched by nearly 500 million families worldwide.

Users of the Interactive GALA digital television (IPTV) services, provided in most cities of Lithuania, can watch more than 80 entertainment, cognitive, sports, news, and high-definition television (HDTV) channels. The interactive technology-based services provide customers with access to the Virtual Video-On-Demand, and allow, without using any extra equipment, to record their favourite TV programs and watch them at desired times, play games, listen to radio or read their horoscopes.

TEO also provides the Digital GALA TV service, broadcasted via digital terrestrial (DVB-T) networks. Users of this service, which is provided in nearly the whole of Lithuania, can watch up to 40 channels in Lithuanian, English, Russian and other languages.
