OREANDA-NEWS. March 25, 2011. Prime Minister Vladimir Filat said it is unknown yet at what price Moldova will be purchasing electric power starting on April 1 under the new contract. He said the respective talks with potential suppliers haven’t been completed yet. Prime Minister said he was discontented with the fact that he finds out about a possible rise in prices for electric power and many other important things from mass media, and not from the ministers.

Vladimir Filat said the negotiations over the new contract on electric power supply to Moldova starting from April 1 are going on and he doesn’t know about the final decision yet. Vladimir Filat urged the government’s representatives to work actively at the negotiations for the prices for electric power for Moldova to be market ones, and not dictated.

According to Prime Minister, the government will find solutions for Moldovan low-income citizens not to suffer from the possible rise in prices for electric power.
