BalticMiles Points Can Be Used to Help Victims of Japanese Earthquake
OREANDA-NEWS. March 24, 2011. Members of the BalticMiles loyalty programme of the Latvian airline airBaltic can use their accumulated loyalty Points to help victims of the earthquake and tsunami, which recently struck Japan.
BalticMiles Chief Executive Officer Eric Barray: “Our clients have saved up BalticMiles Points for everyday shopping, purchases of fuel, making hotel reservations or for taking airBaltic flights. Now the Points can be used to help the people of Japan.”
Loyalty programme participants can now transfer their BalticMiles Points to the Swiss Red Cross, indicating that the goal of the donation is “Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami,” thus helping victims of the tragedy in that country.
BalticMiles is the first multi-partner loyalty programme in the Baltics. It was launched in October 2009. BalticMiles offers various ways of accumulating Points – flights, trips, hotel stays, auto leases, restaurants, beauty treatments, SPA services, health care, telecoms and finances, shopping at the BalticMiles Internet shop, etc. Points can be spent on airline tickets, travel packages, free time activities such as SPA services, automobile leasing, cinema tickets, perfumes and cosmetics, jewellery and watches, design objects, bags and suitcases for travel, toys for children, and more than 3,000 other goods and services available in www.balticmiles.com online shop. BalticMiles has established a programme enabling its members to donate points to several charities.
The most convenient way to sign up for the BalticMiles programme is to register at www.balticmiles.com, or by contacting the BalticMiles member service by phone. Customers can also apply for the program by sending a text message or filling out an application form.
