OREANDA-NEWS. March 23, 2011. Sberbank may acquire 20% in Metalloinvest from Vasily Anisimov for USD 2.5 bn. Sberbank, the primary beneficiary of Metalloinvest, Alisher Usmanov, and Anisimov did not confirm the negotiations being in progress, but did not deny it either, and only underscored no agreements on the subject had been signed so far.

After he gets money from Sberbank, Anisimov may repay his USD 1.8 bn debt to VTB and get back the half of his package (10%), currently being held by VTB.
