OREANDA-NEWS. March 23, 2011. In February, the volume of shipments by the Eastern Siberia and Zabaikalsk Railways in Fright One gondola cars increased twofold compared with the same period of 2010. In February 2011, 470 thsd. tons of cargo was hauled, which is 78% more than in February of the previous year. Coal and iron ore shipment from Korshunikha station for power-and-heating plants and production plants in Magnitogorsk and Novokuznetsk became the most dynamic direction.

Last month, there was an increase in the volume of cargo shipments by Freight One platforms compared with the same period of the previous year (406 cars were shipped in February, which is 66% more than the previous year shipment). One of the main consignors, Irkutsk Precast Reinforced Concrete Plant, OJSC, extended nearly twofold the shipment of power line supports for Amur consignees.

The reinforced concrete components are intended for construction of the unique power line, BL-500, which will cross the Amur River from the Russian bank to the Chinese bank.
