Volume of Coal Shipments from Eastern Siberia Increased by 2.3 Times
OREANDA-NEWS. March 23, 2011. Based on the results of two months of 2011, Freight One hauled 1.7 m. tonnes of coal from the outcrop mines of Krasnoyarsk Territory and Khakassia, which is a 2.3-time increase compared with the indicators of the previous year.
The major part of Freight One coal shipments, more than 70%, was in Siberia and Far East federal districts. Considerable volume is delivered to regional heat power plants which provide heat and electric power to people and industrial facilities of Eastern Siberia, Zabaikalye, and Far East. About one-third of Siberian coal shipments were in the European part of Russia.
In January-February 2011, Freight One hauled 912.7 k. tonnes of coal from Eastern Siberia for housing and public utilities. During the period, Freight One daily placed within the Krasnoyarsk railway at the average as many as 224 gondola cars for loading coal intended for housing and public utilities.
Recall that in 2010 Freight One hauled more than 6.6 m. tonnes of coal from the outcrop mines of Krasnoyarsk Territory and Khakassia. In whole, the shipment volume of Freight One in the Krasnoyarsk railway increased up to 17.6 k. gondola cars in February 2011 (in February 2010, 8.1 k. gondola cars were loaded).
