OREANDA-NEWS. March 23, 2011. The Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Yuriy Boyko said that the minority stake of “Naftogaz” Ukraine will be placed on stock exchanges. He said this during his working visit to Chernivtsi.

"Indeed, the principal decision has been taken that the minority stake of “Naftogaz” will be placed on stock exchanges. Now we solve with our consultants, where the exchange will be more advantageous to place. As a result, we plan to attract about 5-6 billion dollars that will go to development of the company, to increase gas production in our country, modernization of the national gas transmission system", - Yuri Boyko said.

The Minister noted that such public offering - a common practice in the civilized world. "It is selling in the stock market when no one buyer would not, and will be investors who want to buy these shares and are willing to pay money" - said Yuri Boyko.
