OREANDA-NEWS. March 23, 2011. The work of equipping dual completion and production wells and dual injection wells with downhole measurement systems is in progress in the structural divisions of TATNEFT, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.

In accordance with the schedule introduction of the of wells operated with application of dual completion and production technology new measurement tools (controllers, sensors) have been installed in place at 39 more wells since the beginning of 2011. In 2010, they were installed at 166 wells while the planned number for that year amounted to 150. The works were performed in NGDUs (Oil and Gas Production Boards) Almetyevneft, Bavlyneft, Dzhalilneft, Yelkhovneft, Nurlatneft, Prikamneft and Yamashneft.

The downhole measurement systems allow real-time monitoring of the formation pressure and temperature at the pump intake.

The surface-based interface module of the implemented measurement systems allows visualizing current values of the downhole sensors, storing the files in nonvolatile memory and transmitting the data through the telemetry system channels. Reservoir filtration characteristics are defined and optimization of the wells’ operation is performed based on the information received.
